Challenge or context
The challenge was to communicate the urgency of modern food poverty using only live-action footage from the installation and historical illustrations of the famine. With no visual records from the original event, the motion graphics had to bridge past and present while maintaining accuracy, sensitivity, and emotional impact.

Process / Visual Approach
The visual approach mixed papercraft-inspired motion, layered textures, and documentary editing. Historical illustrations were animated subtly to evoke memory and loss, while footage captured on location provided realism and contrast. The combination created a respectful, contemporary aesthetic that amplified the campaign’s message.
